Harley Van Hyning

Growing up with a mother trained at the Brighton School of Art and the British Royal Academy, local artist Harley Van Hyning was surrounded by creativity from day one. He studied art throughout childhood and high school, but life pulled him in other directions for a time. Still, he never lost his creative eye — and eventually found his way back through Gyotaku, the century-old Japanese art form that blends craftsmanship, nature, and coastal tradition.
